As a feature, it would be nice if the database diagrams can 'freely' be drawn, without having to connect to a database. Were afterwards a connection can be added, or just generating the DDL for a type of database.

Hi,
This feature is already implemented.
You do not need to be connected to a particular database to define your database schema.
A connection and a database reverse is performed only if you check the reverse chex box.
