What is the difference between UML & EMF modelling.

I cannot see what the difference is between EMF & UML modelling. Could someone please assist by pointing me to relevant documentation.

EMF focus on components.
UML deals with class/objects.
The better approach is to start EMF to define high level architecture/conception and use UML for detail component implementations.

in the New instance dialog box

error = Type must be set

Type drop-down list box is empty

Know what is wrong?
