Hi all,

For my PhD thesis (based on MDA) I was thinking of adopting your tool, because is one of the best currently available, and I like it very much..

Anyway I need a number of features that get beyond the scope of basic EMF usage. Namely:
- I would need to get access to the graphical location of a class/object (say x,y and width & length of the items in a Class diagram)
- how is possible to add new stereotypes, and UML profiles?
- show up programamtically an entire diagram, previously stored as XMI
- what is the schedule for delivering UML 2.0 features to Plug-in developers (not final users)

I read in another posting that Omondo-specific APIs are not yet public.. Is there something (apart from EMF of course) that I can have programmatically access at, right now?

Hello Mauro,

This is a good idea to use EMF, UML2 (eclipseUML2 metamodel) and UML Profiles. We currently have an alpha release for Eclipse 3.0.
We need to integrate our latest UML2 graphical look&feel.
You can consider that the core is ready and that graphical presentation will not have any impact using UML 1.4 or UML 2.0 ( the final OMG Draft is still not available. Are we slow ? ).

We will also write in few weeks an UML2 profiles tutorial and explain how to extend our models to any other Eclipse plugin.
