It would be an immensely great feature if you could implement Copy/Paste function for class diagram that would allow copying of the whole diagram and pasting it into word document or something. Most decent UML tools allow this…
Right now I have to first export the diagram as a JPEG and then import it into my word document.
By the way, your product rocks and Rational Rose sucks! Keep it up!

Thanks,
Alex

Hi omondo team,
from my experience I can say that a lot of people work exactly like this. Copy and paste of specific diagrams into a word document - even when they have tools like Rose or Together that support automatic docu generation - WHY ???

- because most of the time the docu wizards of those tools aren't able to produce the desired outcome (or it is to complicated to customize the the wizard --> so bach to copy/paste)

One helpful feature would be to have a script that creates all images (or a subset selected by user) on demand again. So if you don't paste images in you document but link to the generated images by reference, all images in the word document will be up to date after runninng the script.

Hi,

Thanks for your feedbacks. We'll implement this feature. It will come out later.

This will be really useful feature. In fact for eclipse UML to survive, it must support basic export features, I mean to export it to MS Word, save it as jpeg format so that can be used in html and stuff.

Otherwise bye bye to Eclipse UML, at least from our organisation, any way.

Thanks, sorry about honest openion and comment.
