I just install Omondo Eclipse plug-in, after the installation I've created a Class Diagram on an existing project. Everithing work fine as long as I don't close Eclipse. Once it is closed, I can't restart it. I see the Omondo slashscreen and the dialog showing the model loading... After that I received an error message. This is the message logged in the log file of eclipse (3.0 M3) :

I'm having the same problem - create a document, quit eclipse, open it, can't open the doc- and eclipse bombs out. I even see the identical stack trace.
As a workaround, I renamed the model to keep it from being opened on startup- this let me back into eclipse. Uninstalling and reinstalling omondo doesn't seem to help- I still bomb out after opening any UML documents.
I'm using eclipse 3.01 on windows, with GEF 3.0.1 and UML 1.0.1.
Here some of the stack trace:

Just delete the file ".umlproject" in the project directory and the model will load successfully on startup.

Has anyone been able to determine the cause of the problem and an appropriate, permanent fix? Deleting the .umlproject file allows you back into Eclipse, but on each subsequent edit/creation of a UML diagram, the same problem recurs.

Hi,
I have the exact same problem and figured out that Java 1.5 seems to be the reason because I used the plug-in with Java 1.4.2 VM before without any trouble. I couldn't find a fix though. Hopefully an update will be available soon

Hello,
I had the same problem running eclipse 3.01 with javasdk-1.5 on WindowsXp. I fixed it by renaming ".umlproject" to "pr.umlproject" .
Good luck

I used the free edition, and wondering if the problem where eclipse fails to start itself, resultilng from the NPE? Like the tool, but this makes it kind of tough to really use (I always forget to wipe that file out by hand before each eclipse restart).
Thanks,
Perry
